Our office will continue to accept walk-ins who would like to register to vote or update their voter registration information. Our office is located inside the Enrique Moreno County Courthouse, 500 E. San Antonio Ave., Suite 314, El Paso, Texas 79901, and is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Below are answers to some of the most frequently asked voter registration questions.

What are the qualifications to register to vote?
To register to vote in Texas, you must:
- Be a United States citizen.
- Be a resident of the county where you are registering.
- Be at least 18 years old on Election Day.
- Not be a convicted felon, unless you have completed all of your punishment, including incarceration, parole, probation, or supervision, or have received a pardon.
- Not have been declared by a court to be totally or partially mentally incapacitated without the right to vote.

How can I register to vote?
You can download a voter registration application in English or Spanish from our website at www.epcountyvotestx.gov.

Voter registration applications are also available at:
- United Stated Post Offices
- Texas Department of Public Safety offices
- El Paso Public Libraries
- Texas Health and Human Services Commission offices
- Local high schools

Once your voter registration application is processed, our office will mail you a voter registration certificate within 30 days.

How can I check if my voter registration information is up to date?
You can check your registration status and voter information through My Voter Dashboard on our website.

You will need to enter your first name, last name and date of birth, or your Voter Unique Identifier (VUID), which can be found on your voter registration certificate.

How can I change my address or name?
If you recently moved or changed your name, you can update your voter registration information online through www.votetexas.gov.

You can also update your information by completing a voter registration application.

My record has a suspense status. What now?
If your voter registration record shows a “suspense” status, or you are directed to contact our office, it means our office received information indicating that you may no longer live at the address listed on your voter registration record.

Being on the suspense list does not mean you cannot vote. You can still vote in person. Before voting a regular ballot, you will be asked to complete a Statement of Residence.

Voters with questions can contact our office at (915) 273-3597 or at epelections@epcountytx.gov.
