El Paso, Texas – The El Paso County Elections Department invites parents to bring their children along when they vote on Saturday, October 24, 2026, for “Future El Paso Voter Day.” First introduced in 2024, this initiative received a positive response, and our department plans to make “Future El Paso Voter Day” a recurring initiative during November Uniform Elections to encourage civic engagement and introduce the next generation to the voting process.

Parents can make voting a family learning experience by showing their children how elections work and explaining the importance of participating in our democracy. Children can begin learning about the voting process long before they are eligible to register to vote.

“Parents play a vital role in helping children understand the value of civic participation,” said Lisa Wise, El Paso County Elections Administrator. “This initiative is a great opportunity for families to experience the voting process together and help inspire the next generation of engaged voters.”

Parents are encouraged to bring their children to any Early Voting Location on Saturday, October 24, 2026, to participate in this educational experience and children will receive a fun election pack while supplies last.

As the El Paso County Elections Department continues this initiative, families are encouraged to make voting a family tradition and help children develop an early understanding of civic engagement.
